Productive Tuesday!

Hello! I did do "It's a Crock Monday" this week, but didn't snap a pic. This week it was baked ziti with italian sausage and it was tasty. One half box of ziti, some tomato paste, a can of crushed tomato and about half a jar of spaghetti sauce. Mix that in the crock pot. I added some oregano and mozzarella and parmesan cheeses. Then I browned italian sausages and put those on top. Set it to low and let it go. I added canned mushrooms to it and let those warm through, and ate it up. Really tasty.

Yesterday then was Tuesday. We had some company over in the morning for a lovely visit, had lunch and I went to go find my red Red Heart yarn for Valentine Day crafts. Two skeins were MIA. Hmmm. SO, I decided to get all my yarn and fiber together, to consolidate and get it into two spots vs. five. :) I have to keep the cabinet full of pretty fibers in the dining room! So, to the basement we went. Ugh. The one room is storing everything in our basement right now, and it was ugly!

After some rearranging, I found the desk! And the doll house!


It was to get things put together better, encouraging to see all my fiber, and the girls played for hours in the basement and asked to do it again today. Still more for me to do down there, so we'll all be busy!

A Little Organizing!

I wanted to organize my cupboards a little. I have a corner cupboard that is so deep, I can't see how many bags of marshmallows I have...(three!). Or nuts...(four!). Or Fig Newtons...(two!) So I decided to put it all in the pantry. This meant several appliances, devices, books, and occasional dishes had to be moved.

So, here's the pantry before:

Then there are the two cupboards that I cleared out to add to the pantry. Here's the before shot:

Now, I know the pantry looks incredibly messy still, but I can reach in there and get what I need, can see it all--even those stacked cans--I have garbanzo beans on the bottom of 2 stacks and then one on top, then black beans on the bottom of others, and one on top. All other different kinds of veggies/beans are in the front, all easily seen. We'll be able to eat from the pantry before buying more. (And, the Fig Newtons? Yeah, both were beyond their time. Of course they sounded good today.)

But here's the cool part. See that corner cupboard? I removed the center shelf to get those tall things in there--that's a Kitchen-Aid mixer, a popcorn popper and a toaster oven. All on that shelf. Where were those before you ask? On my counter! (Well, the popcorn popper was a new acquisition this weekend.)

So now, not only can I see all the food we don't need to buy more of, I don't have to see all the appliances we don't use daily. Hooray!!

Look What I Did Today...

Something made me reorganize the closet. It may have been the fact that I couldn't walk in the walk-in. Ahhh, feels great!

Everything got refolded, except for the towels up there, and the carpet got vacuumed and the baseboards too. I pulled some things out for the garage sale that is forever-away and this even lead to me cleaning out one drawer and under the bathroom sink, and some things that were in our closet could be moved there. Yay me!

Then, I found this on my front porch:

The front box is my order from Knit Picks, but see that package in the back? Mystery package. I'm in a swap called "Say Goodbye To Winter" with the High Fiber Diet Podcast Listeners, and we are supposed to wait until March 21 to open our packages. We don't know who they are from either. So I get this today. Is this my package that I can't open yet? Or can I rip in and see what it is? I just don't know...So I have to search around and see what's what. Updates to come, for sure!
